Australian law firm Thomsons has strengthened its Adelaide office with the addition of partners Lisa Harrington and Liz Viant.
Harrington joins from Finlaysons, where she was a partner for more than two years. Viant arrives from MinterEllison, bringing with her a team comprising special counsel David Hunt and senior associate Shelini Hillier.
Harrington is a commercial property lawyer who advises on complex property transactions, leasing arrangements, land development and subdivision projects. She also supports clients on broader commercial matters, including those in the hospitality and agriculture sectors.
Viant focuses on workplace disputes, enterprise bargaining, work health and safety matters, investigations and government advisory work. Her experience also includes industrial disputes, employee claims and conducting sensitive workplace investigations, involving allegations such as sexual harassment, bullying, fraud and corruption.
“Lisa and Liz add further depth to our property and employment, health and safety teams in our Adelaide office and nationally. Their appointments reflect our confidence and commitment to investing in areas where we see strong client demand and long-term opportunities,” chief executive partner Adrian Tembel told Asia Business Law Journal.
