Mohana Nijhawan, a former associate at the firm, has rejoined Chandhiok & Mahajan as counsel at the New Delhi office, strengthening its restructuring and insolvency practice.
With more than a decade of experience in insolvency, restructuring and disputes, Nijhawan’s expertise spans insolvency and bankruptcy matters, litigation, and complex dispute resolution.
Before rejoining the firm, Nijhawan was part of the insolvency and restructuring team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co and the disputes team at L&L Partners.
Her experience includes advising on complex issues arising during the insolvency resolution process and the implementation of resolution plans, alongside extensive work on litigation strategy, appearances and proceedings before the National Company Law Tribunal, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, the Supreme Court of India, and various high courts.
She has also played key roles in several landmark insolvency matters involving Reliance Group companies, Aircel Cellular, Future Retail, Videocon Industries, Aviom India Housing Finance, and Jyoti Structures.
