K&L Gates has recently hired Huberta Chow as a partner at its Hong Kong office, strengthening the firm’s asset management and investment funds practice.
With nearly 20 years of experience, Chow has advised more than 100 fund managers and investors. Her clientele includes sovereign wealth funds, government authorities, investment banks, financial institutions and prominent asset managers, and she is known for delivering solutions on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.
Familiar with key jurisdictions such as the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong and Jersey, her practice spans hedge funds, private equity, hybrid funds, funds-of-funds and co-investment arrangements. She is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales, and is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
From 2008 to 2025, Chow practised at Sidley Austin, where she served as a counsel. During her tenure, she contributed to the drafting of Hong Kong’s Limited Partnership Funds Ordinance (cap 637). Prior to joining K&L Gates, she briefly worked as a partner at Broadfield, a recently established UK law firm.
