Introduction

Xia Mingliang has practised law for 25 years and is a dispute resolution specialist and senior arbitrator. He has represented clients in a wide range of financial investment litigations and arbitrations, with a strong focus on enforcement proceedings, vigorously safeguarding clients’ lawful rights and interests. He was named a “2024 LegalOne Strength Star” in Construction & Real Estate; and shortlisted for the “2025 ALB China Law Awards – Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year”.

Xia provides efficient, high-quality legal services on outbound investment for numerous asset management firms, funds and securities companies. He also serves as an arbitrator with the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Centre); Shanghai Arbitration Commission; Chongqing Arbitration Commission; Hangzhou Arbitration Commission; Nanjing Arbitration Commission; Changsha Arbitration Commission; Qingdao Arbitration Commission; and others. Concurrently, he is a member of the Arbitration Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association; Vice President of the Internet Arbitration Court of the Qingdao Arbitration Commission; Secretary-General of the Real Estate Arbitration Research Committee of the China Academy of Arbitration Law; and a practice supervisor at China University of Political Science and Law.

  • Litigation over medium-term notes and corporate bonds between Minsheng Jiayin Fund Management and Anhui Foreign Economic Construction (Group) (about RMB 1.43 billion);
  • Equity transfer dispute between Xinli Technology Group and Li Yunsheng & Gu Yulin (about RMB 330 million);
  • RMB 5.7 billion corporate bond project of Rongxin (Fujian) Investment Group;
  • Bank of Communications’ RMB 90 billion perpetual capital bond project;
  • IP infringement case between Shanghai Bestv TV Media and Hangzhou Wasu Digital TV – China’s first open-circuit TV-channel IP litigation; and
  • Copyright infringement and unfair competition dispute between Guangzhou Douyu Network Technology and Shanghai Yaoyu Culture Media, selected by the Shanghai IP Research Institute as one of the “Top 10 Most Valuable Chinese IP Judgments of 2016”.
