Raymond Wang

Introduction

Raymond Wang heads the compliance department of Shihui Partners and has been practising law for more than 20 years. Wang’s practice focuses on AI, cybersecurity and data protection. He regularly advises leading multinational and domestic technology companies, ministries and local governments with respect to legislative and regulatory programmes.

Wang sits on the expert panel for the International Chamber of Commerce’s data governance working group and the Business 20 Organisation compliance working group. He has published many articles, reports and translated works in the field of personal information protection.

Wang has been recommended by various authoritative legal media outlets and rating agencies in the categories of technology, media and telecommunications and data protection, including Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, Asian Legal Business, China Business Law Journal, China Law and Practice, Asialaw and Legalband, all of which have ranked him in “Band 1” or equivalent tiers. In 2021, he was honoured with the Mingli Annual Alumni Award by the Law School of Tsinghua University.
