Liu Jing

Introduction

Liu Jing graduated from the China University of Political Science and Law, and the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She has extensive experience, with 15 years in practice, specialising in handling complex cases involving equity investment, buyback disputes, and fund control rights controversies, earning a strong reputation in the market. Liu has repeatedly represented prominent investment institutions and fund managers in significant disputes relating to earnout and buyback obligations, investor exits, fund control rights, and governance restructuring, achieving influential outcomes recognised across the industry. Several of her cases have set important precedents, including one selected by the Supreme People’s Court as part of its first batch of cross-border commercial and maritime mediation case examples. With deep expertise in transaction structures and fund operations, Liu excels at identifying core legal issues amid intricate legal and commercial dynamics, delivering solutions that effectively balance legal rigor with strategic business objectives.
