Fu Gang

Introduction

Fu Gang is a senior partner at Dacheng’s Shanghai Office. With over 20 years of practice, his expertise focuses primarily on the practice and research of intellectual property law, corporate law, and financing and M&A. He specialises in enterprise IP management and protection, with a particular depth of experience in providing legal services for the TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecoms) sector.

Fu serves as a legal counsel for dozens of prominent enterprises including Tencent, Bilibili, Poker Group and Youka. He has also provided specialised legal consultancy services for companies such as Xiaohongshu and Sina. Adopting a professional and diligent approach, Fu delivers premium services to all his clients, earning consistent high praise and fostering stable and deeply rooted co-operative relationships over the years.

Fu has represented nearly 1,000 litigation cases and successfully handled numerous significant and complex cases. These include the first case of unfair competition involving internet big data (Dianping.com v Baidu); the first case recognising an online game as a film work (the Miracle MU Case); and the Legend of Mir series rights protection cases. More than 30 of these cases have been selected as one of the Top 10 Typical Cases for Intellectual Property Judicial Protection at the provincial level across various regions; five cases have been selected as Annual Typical IP Cases by the Supreme People’s Court; and two cases have been published in the Gazette of the Supreme People’s Court.

Fu has contributed to the authorship of multiple professional legal books and has published over 60 articles in specialised journals such as China Copyright and China Trademark.
