Introduction
Jackson Teng is an experienced litigation attorney specialising in commercial dispute resolution, as well as a seasoned professional in providing legal services related to domestic and cross-border investment and financing, M&A, and corporate compliance matters involving China. He is adept at conducting comprehensive and forward-looking analyses of applicable laws, government policies, and business practices both in China and overseas. He creates and implements full-service, high-quality legal solutions for a diverse clientele, including international corporations, A-share and H-share listed companies, and state-owned enterprises, advising them on transactional matters and corporate compliance. He also frequently represents clients in domestic and international litigation and arbitration proceedings.
He has also served as an expert witness on Chinese law on multiple occasions, providing testimony and undergoing cross-examinations for institutions such as the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the American Centre for Dispute Resolution, the Federal Court of Australia, and the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia. Additionally, he has long provided legal counsel to renowned entertainers and private business owners on matters concerning cross-border family law, private wealth, and family business governance.
Currently, Teng holds positions as an arbitrator for the Shanghai Arbitration Commission and the Dalian International Arbitration Court. He also serves as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Sino-US Joint Project of the Hawaii Tax Institute. As a principal author, he wrote the book, Investment Dilemma, published by Far East Press. Actively involved in public welfare, Teng concurrently holds the position of Chairman of the Shanghai May Foundation.
