Liu Yiming

Introduction

Liu Yiming is the partner in charge of Cooley’s Shanghai office. He advises life sciences, healthcare and technology companies throughout their lifecycles, and has substantial experience representing high-growth companies, institutional investors and investment banks in strategic transactions, including IPOs in Hong Kong and the US, cross-border M&A, venture capital financings, joint ventures, and licensing and collaboration agreements. Liu has practised corporate law in New York, Hong Kong and Shanghai, and he previously received academic training and advanced degrees in molecular, cellular and developmental biology, and health services administration. Liu leverages his broad experience and technical background to help clients achieve their desired results.

Liu has advised on notable IPOs, including the Hong Kong listing of Bao Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company specialising in recombinant protein and antibody-based therapeutics, and Innogen Pharmaceutical. He has also represented issuers in share placement transactions, including ImmuneOnco Biopharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company developing immuno-oncology therapies, as well as Akeso, a biopharmaceutical company focused on innovative medicines to address global healthcare needs.
