Introduction

Melissa Feng is a seasoned lawyer with more than 20 years of expertise in foreign-related dispute resolution. Her practice primarily focuses on finance, encompassing areas such as letters of credit, letters of guarantee, factoring, forfaiting and international trade. Feng specialises in both domestic and international litigation and arbitration, particularly in finance and overseas construction contracting projects. She is highly skilled in managing complex cross-border disputes, including parallel litigation, multiple lawsuits and arbitration for clients worldwide. Leveraging her extensive experience in litigation and arbitration, Feng also offers cross-border trade and financial compliance services. She provides specialised and ongoing legal services to banks, financial institutions and multinational corporations in these sectors

Feng is a member of various associations such as the All China Lawyers Association’s China international legal professionals committee, the Ministry of Justice’s Foreign-Related Lawyer Talent Pool, and the Beijing Lawyers Association’s Research Association of Foreign Legal Services. She is a China representative at the Asia-Pacific Forum for International Arbitration, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an arbitrator for the Zhuhai Arbitration Commission, the Shijiazhuang Arbitration Commission, and the Ningbo Arbitration Commission. She is a specialist mediator for the Singapore International Mediation Centre, a mediator for the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Chamber of International Commerce, a council member of the China Academy of Arbitration Law, and a member of the panel of arbitrators and neutrals at the eBRAM International Online Dispute Resolution Centre in Hong Kong.

From 2023 to 2025, Feng was ranked in the Chambers Global Legal Guide and in the Chambers Greater China Region Legal Guide for dispute resolution: litigation, as well as Legalband’s “Top Chinese Lawyers” in arbitration.
