Hu Qi

Introduction

Hu Qi is a managing partner at Grandway Law Offices and head of its Hangzhou office. She graduated from Zhejiang University and from Peking University. She holds several key positions, including external member of the Guolian Minsheng Securities sponsorship internal review committee, vice-chair of the Zhejiang Lawyers Association’s securities and capital markets committee, and vice president of the Zhejiang M&A Association. She also serves as a practice instructor for Peking University Law School and was a member of the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s inaugural external bond expert committee.

Hu has been repeatedly honoured by legal award bodies such as Asian Legal Business, Chambers and Partners, Legalband, IFLR1000 and The Legal 500. Having nearly two decades of professional experience, she has specialised in domestic and international capital markets and finance, representing hundreds of corporate clients. Her track record includes advising on landmark transactions such as the IPOs of SWJTURD, Parallel Technologies, Les Information, Bide Pharmatech, and Yiling Pharmaceutical, as well as M&A deals including Jovo Energy’s acquisition of Sichuan Yuanfeng Sentai Energy. Hu possesses sharp analytical skills and dedication; she excels at identifying critical issues and delivering practical, compliant solutions, thereby enabling clients to navigate complex legal challenges with confidence and efficiency.
