Introduction

Harold Hou, who holds a PRC Bar licence, has worked and practised in Commerce & Finance Law Offices, Zhonglun Law Firm and Beijing DeHeng Law Offices successively for 18 years, focusing on private equity funds, PE and VC, M&A, cross-border financing, bonds (domestic and overseas), IPO (domestic and overseas) and asset restructuring of listed companies.

Hou is skilled in making use of the complementation of the offshore and onshore markets to build cross-border financing platforms from the perspective of the overall and long-term development of the clients, and to effectively reduce the costs from the

financial and tax perspectives to provide efficacious legal service for the healthy and rapid growth of clients.

Hou’s recognitions and affiliations include: tutor in the master of business administration (MBA) programme of Beijing Foreign Studies University; tutor at the Beijing Foreign Studies University (finance major); and serving as the deputy secretary-general of Beijing Minhe Foundation for International Exchanges. He is one of the first experts of the Civil and Commercial Expert Pool of the Chinese Society of Behavioural Law.

Hou graduated from the Law School of Peking University with a Master’s degree. His working languages are Mandarin and English.

His key clients include China Three Gorges Corporation, State Grid Corp. of China, China National Nuclear Corp., Agricultural Bank of China, Huatai Securities, China Logistics, National Council for Social Security Fund, China International Capital Corp., China Mobile Capital, SenseTime Group and China Internet Investment Fund.
