Yoon & Yang has hired a former deputy prosecutor general of South Korea’s Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, the second in command in prosecution, the Seoul-based law firm has told Asia Business Law Journal.
Kang Nam-il – an English transliteration of the Korean name, 강남일, provided by Yoon & Yang and who was appointed deputy head of the country’s Supreme Prosecutors’ Office in 2019 – would join the South Korean law firm in August this year, Asia Business Law Journal learned.
A Yoon & Yang spokesperson said the firm was not able to confirm the title of his position and the exact date of Kang’s arrival, citing that he had not officially joined the firm yet.
