Rio Lassatrio is a founder and partner of LHBM Counsel. He is a qualified lawyer with more than a decade of experience.
He specialises in corporate and M&A, project and infrastructure, and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in representing and advising national and multinational companies in Indonesia.
He has advised and acted as an Indonesian counsel in numerous projects, such as syndicated financing of a geothermal project worth a maximum aggerate amount of USD1.12 billion; the construction of 150kV/20kV transmission lines and a substations facility at Kota Bukit Indah Industrial Estate, West Java province, with a considerable amount of more than USD22 million; the construction of New Steel Bar and Steel Section Mill of a joint venture between state-owned and Japan-based companies; and the proposed acquisition of shares of an Indonesian financial services firm by a listed financial services company based in Japan.
Rio has been named one of Indonesia’s A-list of Top 100 lawyers for 2020-2021 by Asia Business Law Journal, named Indonesia’s Rising Star for 2019 by Asian Legal Business and was chosen by his clients as Asialaw Leading Lawyers 2012 based on Asialaw Profiles Survey 2012.
In addition, Rio is an exclusive member of IR Global, the world’s largest exclusive network of advisory firms for the M&A area in Indonesia, and a frequent contributor to the World Bank Group’s Doing Business project.
Rio graduated from the Faculty of Law of Universitas Katolik Parahyangan in Indonesia and received his Master of Law degree from the University of Queensland in Australia.
