Richard Stapley-Oh

Introduction

Qualified in Western Australia, Richard Stapley-Oh has been living and practising law in Southeast Asia since 2007. Prior to that, Stapley-Oh worked in Perth, Australia for a premier Australian (now magic circle) law firm. As the managing partner for KPMG’s member law firm in Vietnam and Cambodia, Stapley-Oh is responsible for the day-to-day operations of KPMG Law, one of Vietnam’s leading law practices. He is concurrently KPMG in Vietnam and Cambodia’s general counsel and head of infrastructure.

Stapley-Oh has extensive experience in advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial engagements and cross-border M&A transactions, with significant experience in acting for both sellers and purchasers in transactions in Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines, with a particular focus on the real estate, manufacturing, and mining sectors.

Stapley-Oh also has experience in acting for clients in respect of limited and non-recourse financing and general corporate finance transactions, commercial litigation, international arbitration, and insolvency.
