Fangda Partners represented MAN Energy Solutions in its sale of its gas turbine business to CSIC Longjiang GH Gas Turbine Co., Ltd. The transaction was signed on June 20, 2023. The Fangda team on this deal was led by corporate partner Jack Li, and team members include Weil Feng and Ariel Yuan, with the support of Caroline Huang from anti-trust team. Fangda participated in drafting and negotiation of transaction documents and PRC governmental approval related issues. MAN Energy Solutions, as a Volkswagen subsidiary, is a German multinational company based in Augsburg that produces large-bore gas and diesel engines and also turbomachinery for marine, rail and stationary applications, as locomotive and marine propulsion systems, power plant applications, and turbochargers. CSIC Longjiang GH Gas Turbine Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, which is the largest shipbuilding company in the world.
