Introduction

Kyu Wha Lee is a senior partner and the head of the Corporate and M&A Groups at Lee & Ko. Mr. Lee has over twenty years of experience in representing both Korean and multinational companies in corporate and M&A matters and brings wealth of experience in all areas of corporate and business laws including, but not limited to, the sale and purchase of business and property, M&A transactions, establishment and representation of various types of corporate entities (including joint ventures and partnerships), restructuring, foreign direct investment, overseas investment, labor, and fair trade.

A few of the notable cases Mr. Lee has handled include the representation of acquisition of minority shares in Hyundai Oilbank by Saudi Aramco, representation of Siemens Group with its acquisition of shares in Hyundai Autonet and Bontec, representation of The Boeing Company with its acquisition of shares in Huneed Technologies, representation of Munich Reinsurance Company with its acquisition of Daum Direct Auto Insurance Co., Ltd., representation of Korea Development Bank with its sale of a majority interest in Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, representation of Hanjin Group with its acquisition of treasury stock in S-Oil, and representation of Ford Motor Company with its acquisition of Daewoo Motor Company.
