Introduction
Tushar Ajinkya is the founder and managing partner of ThinkLaw Advocates, with over 25 years of experience in advising clients on complex legal matters across various jurisdictions.
Ajinkya leads the firm’s dispute resolution practice, where he has successfully handled intricate commercial litigations, shareholder disputes, family disputes within family businesses, and insolvency and restructuring matters before India’s Supreme Court, high courts, the National Company Law Tribunal, the Securities Appellate Tribunal, and other courts nationwide. His broad experience is highly valued by prominent promoter groups and high-net-worth individuals for whom he offers practical and insightful advice on pre-litigation strategies and dispute resolution. He is extensively involved in both domestic and international commercial arbitrations, having actively participated in institutional arbitrations outside India.
Ajinkya continues to lead and extensively advise on diverse corporate transactions encompassing private equity, structured finance, acquisitions, joint ventures and takeovers, within India and globally. With a strong background in IT laws, he has provided assistance to numerous software companies and clients engaged in complex transactions within the IT, outsourcing, internet and e-commerce industries, fintech solutions, education technology assignments, as well as to other businesses in respect of transactions in technology, fintech, AI and machine learning.
Ajinkya specialises in investigating, advising and assisting in the detection and resolution of, and strategy formulation in dealing with and mitigating technology crimes, cyber fraud/offences and other incidents involving digital footprints.
Throughout his career, he has gathered significant experience while working with a leading software company and a premier India-based international law firm where he was part of a three-member core team that set up its US office. Ajinkya was a senior partner at some of the leading law firms in the country for several years.
