Lalit Bhasin

Introduction

Lalit Bhasin is the founder of Bhasin & Co Advocates. He is the president of the Society of Indian Law Firms, a senior adviser of the American Bar Association India committee, an honorary life member of the International Bar Association, the chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry national committee on legal services, and a chairman emeritus of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators India.

He was the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce’s national president, the Bar Association of India’s and the Inter Pacific Bar Association’s president, the Delhi Bar Council’s and the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal’s chairman.

Bhasin’s commendations include: the Plaque of Honour by the Indian Prime Minister in 2002 for his outstanding contribution to the Rule of Law, The National Law Day Award by the Indian President in 2007, the Lifetime Achievement Award at the UK House of Lords in 2022, and the Outstanding Arbitration Expert Award 2023 by Asia Pacific Centre for Arbitration and Mediation.
