Ralph Voltmer

Introduction

Ralph Voltmer Jr is chair of Covington’s India practice and a partner in the firm’s corporate group. He advises both US and foreign clients in cross-border transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and financings. He is also a member of the USIBC board of directors.  

Ralph has been active in India for over 25 years, working with large and mid-sized India-based multinational companies, as well as India-based start-ups, on a wide range of matters, often serving as a strategic advisor to his clients, and with companies based outside of India on their strategically important India related activities. As a frequent visitor to India, Ralph is often called upon to share his views on the transformative opportunities afforded by the consequential India–US relationship and is a regular speaker at the annual India Global Innovation Connect in Bengaluru, as well as other conferences.
