Introduction
John Chrisman is a corporate partner at the Dallas, Texas office of Dentons US. John has over 35 years’ experience advising governments, companies and financial institutions on international capital markets (equity and debt) and M&A transactions, as well as on corporate investigations. His legal and business experience spans over 50 countries across six continents. He has lived and worked as a lawyer in Dallas, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Singapore and Sydney.
John is well-known for representing clients on sophisticated renewable energy, financial services, technology, natural resources and entertainment matters. He is recognised as a leading lawyer in India, the Middle East and Australia. He has worked on many high-profile transactions around the world, including in more than 250 capital markets, and M&A transactions in India.
John is also a member of the Dentons global compliance and investigations team. He focuses on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and sanctions compliance and investigations for Indian companies and Indian JVs and subsidiaries of US companies.
John is admitted to practise law in California, Texas and Washington DC.
He has a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law (1988), a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from SMU (1985).
