Introduction

Bheru Choudhary is a senior partner with IC Universal Legal. He qualified as a solicitor at the Bombay Incorporated Law Society in 1992 and the Law Society of England & Wales in 1994. His expertise lies in real estate, media and entertainment, corporate and commercial, litigation and arbitration.

He advises film producers and distributors. Leading Indian film celebrities in the Bollywood film industry seek his advice on contractual and licence agreements, concert performance issues, attendance at press conferences for media interviews and issues such as defamation. He also advises leading brands on a wide range of issues.

Bheru’s real estate practice covers the transfer of property matters, transfer of development rights, and structuring, drafting and negotiating land development documentation, regulations and policies, the (Regulation and Development) Act, Town and Country Planning and land acquisition, Urban Land Ceiling Act, Municipal Laws, tax laws, Agricultural Land and Development Control Regulations. He advises project developers on raising funds via financial institutions, banks and joint venture projects.
