Introduction

Abhishek Kale is the deputy managing partner and head of the corporate and commercial practice of Naik Naik & Co. He has advised clients in both inbound and outbound investments, private equity transactions, M&As, and joint venture deals. He has handled some of the highest valued transactions in real estate, media and entertainment, manufacturing and information technology sectors.

Being a highly versatile lawyer, Abhishek has also been actively involved in litigation and arbitration including international arbitration matters at the firm.

Due to his vast experience in dealing with practical aspects of corporate and commercial laws, especially FDI and SEBI norms, he has become a preferred choice for clients with respect to corporate and commercial disputes. He has handled several complex financial frauds and irregularities and matters related to civil litigation. Abhishek regularly appears at the Supreme Court, high courts, NCLT, NCLAT, SEBI, SAT, DRT and DRAT to represent clients across all major industry sectors including oil and gas, telecoms, finance, retail and real estate.

Another unique dimension of his expertise pertains to advising corporate debtors and its promoters, financial creditors, operational creditors and other stakeholders on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

• IDFC First Bank in various insolvency proceedings initiated against its corporate debtors before the NCLT and NCLAT.
