Introduction

Kanika is a dual qualified lawyer admitted as a solicitor in India with the Bombay Incorporated Law Society in 2008 and as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2011. Kanika completed her law degree at Government Law College, Mumbai and was enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa in July 2006. She is also a member of the International Bar Association.

Kanika is a partner with Indian Law Partners and heads and manages its Mumbai office. With over 14 years of extensive legal experience, Kanika advises on corporate and commercial laws focusing on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, inbound investment and private equity investments and exits across various sectors in India. Kanika also has experience in numerous real estate transactions and in commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Other than lawyering, Kanika is an avid sportswoman. She was a national and state level squash and tennis player, and won, among others, the Mumbai University Inter College Squash Tournaments for three consecutive years.

Kanika also works very closely with various NGOs and contributes extensively towards the treatment of cancer patients and educating underprivileged girls.
