Introduction

Hendrik Silalahi is well-known in Indonesia’s capital markets for his successful management of IPOs, M&As, and corporate resolutions across many industry sectors, as well as his expertise in tax and aviation laws over many years. In March 2023, he was named capital markets lawyer of the year by Hukumonline for the Most IPO Transactions in 2022.

Hendrik is the co-founder and senior partner of William Hendrik & Siregar Djojonegoro (WH&SD), one of the fastest-growing law firms of its kind in Indonesia. WH&SD features an experienced team of counsellors and associates with a broad network of advisers in the government, the legal system, and NGOs.

After graduating with a law degree from the University of Indonesia in 1997, Hendrik worked for one of the big four accounting firms in Jakarta before joining one of the city’s largest law firms. Hendrik has also served as general counsel for many leading multinational companies and Indonesia’s largest conglomerates in their respective industries. With his seasoned local and cross-border skills and experience in corporate transactions, Hendrik’s clients appreciate his advice and solutions, as well as his clear guidance on complex legal concepts and knowledge of corporate ways and means. Aside from his professional activities, Hendrik is also active in various social organisations, including his alumni association.
