Dhananjay Kumar, partner and head of restructuring and insolvency at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM), has joined South Square, a leading set of commercial law barristers in London.
Although he will be a member and independent practitioner at South Square and practise before the Bar of England and Wales, Kumar will continue to practise Indian law from CAM’s Mumbai office.
CAM has been expanding its international presence with offices in Singapore and Abu Dhabi, and Kumar’s new role is expected to support this shift towards internationalisation.
Cyril Shroff, managing partner at CAM, made an announcement on LinkedIn about Kumar’s new position. “This complements the firm’s capabilities in the restructuring & insolvency as well as the disputes practice and the internationalisation of our practice outlook especially as India looks at a cross-border insolvency regime being notified in future,” Shroff said.
