Introduction

Rio Lassatrio is a founder and partner of LHBM Counsel. He is a qualified lawyer with more than a decade of practice experience. He has extensive experience in representing and advising national and multinational companies in Indonesia and has advised and acted as an Indonesian counsel in numerous projects.

Rio was named as one of Indonesia’s A-list of top 100 lawyers for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021 by Asia Business Law Journal. He was also named Indonesia’s Rising Star for 2019 by the Asian Legal Business and was chosen by his clients as Asialaw Leading Lawyers 2012 based on Asialaw Profiles Survey 2012.

Rio is a member of the Indonesian Bar Association (Peradi), a member of the Capital Markets Legal Consultant Association (Himpunan Konsultan Hukum Pasar Modal or HKHPM), and a registered legal consultant with the Indonesian Financial Authority Services (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan or OJK). In addition, Rio is also a frequent contributor to the World Bank Group’s Doing Business project.

Rio graduated from the Faculty of Law of Universitas Katolik Parahyangan – Bandung and received his Master of Law degree from the University of Queensland – Australia.
