Introduction

Ignatius Andy graduated cum laude in 1992 from Parahyangan Catholic University and started his legal career at Makarim & Taira S, concentrating on commercial dispute resolutions and corporate commercial matters. He joined Hadiputranto Hadinoto & Partners (HHP), the correspondent office of Baker McKenzie in Jakarta, in 1996 in the banking and finance practice group, which later he played a significant role in the establishment and leadership of the HHP’s litigation practice group. He became partner of HHP in 2001.

In July 2004, he established Ignatius Andy Law Offices (IALO), which has been recognised as a prominent boutique law firm in Indonesia for years. IALO grows substantially due to the rapid expansion of its legal services and client base. IALO focuses its practice on antitrust issues, dispute resolution, as well as corporate and commercial matters. The firm’s dispute resolution and corporate commercial services include domestic, international, and complex civil and commercial proceedings, bankruptcy, suspension of payment, business competition judicial proceedings, domestic and international arbitration, debt restructuring and corporate and commercial transactions.

Currently, Ignatius Andy is listed as an arbitrator at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), the China Maritime Arbitration Commission, the Indonesian Arbitration and Mediation Centre (PAMI), and a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Court of Arbitration.
