Introduction

Upon graduation from his undergraduate study at Universitas Padjajaran, Arie continued his studies at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington, Indiana, US. He now frequently advises international banks on structuring their cross-border transactions, particularly on offering their securities and structured product in Indonesia.

Arie is also the anchor partner at Armand Yapsunto Muharamsyah & Partners for capital markets and derivative transactions, two of the legal practice areas he pioneered. He was actively involved in developing the first multi project limited participation mutual fund (akin to offshore private equity fund) and successfully led teams of lawyers to assist in the USD700 million, the biggest rights issue transaction in Indonesia.

Arie has successfully maintained an extensive list of long-standing clients. His trustworthy character also allows him to develop expertise and experience in assisting lenders in the debt restructuring of Indonesian conglomerates.
