Introduction
Teo Bong Kwang is a registered patent, trademark and industrial design agent in Malaysia. He has served in the executive committee of the Malaysian Intellectual Property Association (MIPA), Society of Alumni of Association of Overseas Technical Scholarship Malaysia (AOTS), licensing executive society and legal committee of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
Bong Kwang was on the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia’s (MyIPO) special committee, which reviewed the Trade Marks Act, 1976. He is a seasoned litigator who regularly acts in matters involving patent infringement, trademark infringement and passing off, copyright, industrial designs, trade secrets, confidential information, technology, pharmaceutical and food laws.
Bong Kwang is consistently ranked as a leading individual by Asia-Pacific Legal 500, Chambers and Partners, Who’s Who in Trade Mark and World Trademark Review 1000. He is the author of several books including Trade Mark Law and Practice in Malaysia, which has been cited with approval by the Malaysian High Courts; the advisory editor of MLJ Trade Marks and Service Marks Handbook and a Malaysian correspondent for World Trademark Review.
