Richard STAPLEY-OH

Introduction

Qualified in Western Australia, Richard STAPLEY-OH has been living and practicing law in Southeast Asia since 2007. Prior to that, he worked in Perth, Australia, for a premier Australian (now magic circle) law firm. As the managing partner of KPMG Law in Vietnam and Cambodia, Stapley-Oh is responsible for the firm’s day-to-day operation. KPMG Law is one of Vietnam’s leading law practices (recognised by Asian Legal Business as Southeast Asia’s Rising Law Firm of the Year in 2022, winner in 2023-2025 Vietnam Law Firm Awards by Asia Business Law Journal, and listed in 2023 Vietnam Top Law Firms and 2025 Vietnam Firms to Watch by Asian Legal Business). STAPLEY-OH has extensive experience in advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial engagements and cross-border M&A transactions, with significant experience in acting for both sellers and purchasers in transactions in Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines, with a particular focus on the real estate, manufacturing and mining sectors. He also has acted for clients in limited and non-recourse financing and general corporate finance transactions, commercial litigation, international arbitration, and insolvency.
