Introduction
Le The Hung is the managing partner at CNC Counsel, a boutique law firm in Vietnam specialisng in legal services for the construction, real estate, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
With over 15 years of experience, Hung provides expert advice to project developers, general contractors, and consultants involved in real estate and infrastructure projects throughout Vietnam. His client portfolio includes prominent industry players such as ACV, Shimizu, Hoa Binh Corp, Coteccons, Cofico, Eurowindow, VNCN E&C, Centrals, Kumho E&C, Newtecons, Halla Corporation, Vinh Nha Trang Group, and BMT.
Hung has been instrumental in delivering large-scale, complex projects, including airports, highways, urban railways, and underground developments of Long Thanh International Airport, Ho Chi Minh Metro Line 1, Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway, and Hanoi Metro Line 3.
Recognised for his expertise in international construction arbitration, Hung is frequently engaged in multi-million-dollar disputes overseen by VIAC, SIAC, and ICC Rules. He is also one of the few Vietnamese lawyers with in-depth knowledge of FIDIC Contracts and regularly conducts workshops and training sessions on their practical application in Vietnam.
In addition to his legal practice, Hung serves as Vice Chairman of the Society of Construction Law Vietnam (SCLVN). He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), a CEDR-certified mediator, and a listed mediator at the Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC). Hung is also a preferred arbitrator for VIAC, Tracent, MCAC, and other arbitration centers in Vietnam.
