Pijan Wu

Introduction

Dr Pijan Wu is a senior counsel at LCS & Partners and an adjunct associate professor at Soochow University Law School. He practices and teaches mainly in the following areas:

1. International trade and investment. Published a book International Investment Law – IIAs and Cases in 2023;
2. Arbitration: He has worked on both commercial and investment arbitration for cases and government consulting;
3. M&A: Recognised as the leading lawyer in this area many times; and
4. Energy: Has been the outside legal counsel of Taiwan’s Bureau of Energy, advising on energy law and policies.

Along with Taiwan’s push for renewable energy, his team has worked on the majority of the offshore windfarm and large-scale solar projects. Pijan received his LLB and EMBA from National Taiwan University, an LLM from Soochow University and a JSD from New York University. He is admitted to the New York State Bar, is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and appointed as a Taiwan delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR.
