Eddie Hsiung

Introduction

Eddie Hsiung is a partner at Lee and Li. His practice focuses on M&A, securities, banking and financial services, asset and fund management, PE/VC investments, and general corporate and commercial. Hsiung has participated in many corporate transactions (M&As, IPOs, JVs and cross-border investments) spanning a broad range of industries and areas, including TMT, biotech, big data, financial services, etc. In addition to the above-mentioned traditional practice areas, he is familiar with legal issues regarding the digital economy/businesses, digital transformation and the application of emerging technologies such as fintech, e-payments, blockchain, cryptocurrencies/virtual assets, AI, e-signatures and data protection, and is often invited to provide advice to the government, regulators, legislators and university/research institutions in these areas on regulatory policies.

Hsiung received his LLB from National Taiwan University and an LLM from Columbia Law School. He is licensed to practice law in Taiwan and New York, and is also a CPA in Washington State, USA.
