Alex HSIN

Introduction

Alex Hsin serves as the managing partner of Guo Ju Law Firm and a senior partner at MHP Law Firm. He is among the pioneering Taiwanese attorneys duly qualified to practice in Shanghai, mainland China. Additionally, he is a licensed patent attorney in Taiwan and a senior certified forensic accountant in both mainland China and the United States.

In 2011, Lawyer Monthly, a prestigious British legal publication, recognised Hsin as one of the Asia-Pacific’s Top 100 Business Attorneys. From 2016 to 2018, China Business Law Journal ranked him among China’s Top 100 Lawyers. Furthermore, he was named one of Taiwan’s Top 100 Lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal in 2019, and again from 2022 to 2025.

Hsin earned his LLB from Fu Jen Catholic University and was selected as a distinguished alumnus in 2024. He subsequently obtained an MBA from National Taipei University, an LLM from Northwestern University in the United States, and a PHD in law from East China University of Political Science and Law. Additionally, he pursued doctoral studies in business administration at National Taipei University. Prior to founding Guo Ju Law Firm in 2008, he served in the legal department of PricewaterhouseCoopers (Taiwan) and held a distinguished tenure at Lee and Li Attorneys-at-Law.

With extensive experience in cross-border investments, M&A, corporate governance and commercial dispute resolution, Hsin is widely recognised for his legal acumen. In addition to his in-depth knowledge of business laws and regulatory frameworks across Taiwan and mainland China, he possesses substantial expertise in intellectual property rights. His practice also extends to Taiwanese tax law, including statutes, regulations, administrative interpretations, procedural tax matters and tax litigation.

Hsin advises a diverse range of industries, including multinational tech corporations, tobacco and alcohol enterprises, fashion conglomerates, e-commerce platforms, online gaming companies, convenience store chains, the automotive sector, government entities, financial institutions, media organisations, entertainment agencies and hospitality groups.

Beyond his legal practice, Hsin is deeply committed to philanthropy and actively serves in various non-profit organisations and alumni associations.
