Michael TWOMEY

Introduction

Michael D Twomey has been an advisor to SSEK since the firm’s founding in 1992. He is experienced in a wide range of corporate, commercial and financial law fields, and advises clients on complex transactions in many of Indonesia’s most important sectors, including the upstream and downstream oil and gas, mining, power, banking and finance, hotel, real estate and shipping sectors.

Twomey has been recognised numerous times over the years by legal directories as a leading lawyer for corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, projects and natural resources, and real estate. He has been described as “the most talented foreign legal consultant in Jakarta” (IFLR1000), “extremely commercially minded and solution-driven” and “a very strong practitioner” (Chambers & Partners).

Twomey received a BA from Yale University, graduating magna cum laude with distinction in economics, and earned his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
