Introduction
Tanjib-ul Alam is a leading corporate law expert in Bangladesh with extensive experience in banking, project finance, telecommunications and foreign investment advisory. He has played a key role in drafting landmark legislations, including the new Companies Act (as lead consultant of the Interntational Finance Corporation), the Telecommunication Act, the ICT Act, and the Energy Regulatory Commission Act. As lead counsel, he has overseen major transactions such as the Robi-Airtel merger, Grameenphone’s GPIT acquisition by Accenture, and significant investments in bKash by global entities such as IFC, Gates Foundation, Alipay, and Softbank. Alam frequently represents clients before the Supreme Court and has acted as arbitrator in high-value domestic and international disputes.
