Maria Christina MACASAET-ACABAN

Introduction

Maria Christina Macasaet-Acaban is a partner and a member of the management committee of Quisumbing Torres, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International. She heads the corporate & commercial/M&A practice group, the competition focus group, and the healthcare & life sciences industry group in Quisumbing Torres. Macasaet-Acaban’s practice focuses on M&As, foreign investments and structuring, antitrust and competition, and corporate reorganisations and restructuring for a range of industries including pharmaceuticals and healthcare, TMT, real estate, consumer goods and retail, and manufacturing.

Macasaet-Acaban is also a member of the TMT industry group. She is a member of Baker & McKenzie International’s Asia Pacific healthcare & life sciences and the Asia Pacific M&A communities. She has 25 years of experience advising and representing multinational corporations on domestic and cross-border transactions.

Macasaet-Acaban has been acknowledged as a prominent figure in corporate and M&A, earning titles such as leading individual by Legal 500 Asia Pacific from 2019 to 2024, distinguished practitioner by asialaw from 2020 to 2024, and highly regarded lawyer by IFLR1000 from 2019 to 2023.
