Atotubo is counsel to Federal Land, Inc in its PHP50 billion (USD177 billion) joint venture with Nomura Real Estate Corporation of Japan, creating one of the largest real estate developers in the Philippines. Atotubo is counsel to Marubeni Corporation of Japan in its acquisition of a strategic stake in Maynilad Water Services, Inc, one of the largest water concessionaires in the Philippines.
Atotubo is among the sought-after law practitioners in the real estate industry in the Philippines. His clients include Federal Land, Inc, one of the largest real estate developers in the country with developments in the cities of Manila, Makati, Mandaluyong, Cebuand Cavite. Atotubo is counsel to Arthaland Corporation, publicly listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange, the pioneer developer of premium green and sustainable developments. Atotubo is counsel to GT Capital Holdings, Inc for its purchase of a majority stake in Property Company of Friends, Inc, a large player in the affordable housing segment. Atotubo specialises in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts and is counsel to major players in the power industry – SN Aboitiz Power Group, Blue Leaf Energy Philippines, Alterenergy Holdings Corporation, Prime Meridian PowerGen Corporation, Citicore Power, Inc and PowerSource Philippines Energy, Inc. Atotubo’s EPC know-how includes hydro-electric, natural gas, coal and solar technologies.
Atotubo also acts as corporate secretary for numerous Philippine companies engaged in the power, real estate, water distribution and manpower services sectors.
Atotubo obtained his Juris Doctor degree, with honours, from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 1997. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of the Philippines in 1992.
