Introduction

Gilbert Raymund T Reyes is a founding partner of Poblador Bautista & Reyes, a top tier law firm in the Philippines.

Reyes was ranked band 1 in IP by Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific Guide (2024) and Legal Media 360 (2023). He was also named as one of the Philippines’ Top 100 Lawyers by the Asia Business Law Journal (2023) and recognized as an elite practitioner in dispute resolution by Asia Law (2023).

Over the years, he has been consistently cited as a leader in dispute resolution by Legal 500 (Asia Pacific), Asia Law & Practice, and the Asia Pacific Legal 500.

He has also been regarded as a key practitioner in construction and real estate; labour and employment; restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy; and IT, telecommunications and media.

Reyes received his bachelor of science degree and his certificate in military science from the University of the Philippines in 1979. He obtained his bachelor of laws degree from the same university in 1983, graduating magna cum laude.

He served as chapter director of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in 1990. He was also director of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines in 1991.
