Introduction

Grace Shao is the head of the IP Tech practice group of Baker McKenzie Taipei. Grace represents leading clients in the pharmaceutical, technology and media, and consumer goods industries. She has extensive experience handling infringement and anti-counterfeiting matters involving trademarks, copyrights, patents and trade secrets. She is highly active in IP litigation, and wins praise from clients for her down-to-earth attitude and talent for excellent strategy formulation. She also advises on technology-related issues including licensing contracts, privacy issues, data protection, content regulation and anti-competition issues.

As one of the leading minds in IP and technology laws, she lectures frequently on current issues happening in litigation and licensing. Grace is newly elected president of the Taipei Bar Association, and a strong advocate for reform of the lawyer’s system in Taiwan.
