Introduction
With more than 35 years’ experience in the private and public sectors, Surasak Vajasit represents some of Thailand’s largest financial institutions and publicly traded companies in corporate and financing transactions, as well as multinational clients in complex Thai regulatory matters involving customs and anti-corruption proceedings. Drawing upon his previous experience as a judge in Thailand, Surasak’s practice largely focuses on representation in litigation and dispute resolution proceedings, including arbitrations – local and international – as counsel and arbitrator. Surasak recently successfully represented a large Japanese car manufacturing company in Tax Court proceedings involving alleged underpaid duty of THB10 billion (US$329 million).
