With nearly three decades of experience in practice, Alden Gonzales continues to head the litigation and labour group at DivinaLaw as a senior partner. In 1986, Alden worked with SyCip Gorrez Velayo and Co as an auditor, later returning in 1991 to practice law in the tax division of the firm. Since then, Alden has represented many clients from various sectors of society before all levels of the Philippine Court system. Armed with extensive knowledge on legal practice and strengthened by his background as a certified public accountant, Alden proves to be a distinct and versatile name in the field.
Alden has also extended his knowledge on law to the academe for nearly as long has he has practiced, working as a professor of civil law in his alma mater, the University of Santo Tomas where he graduated magna cum laude. He has also been a bar reviewer at the university from 2007 to the present.
He has been named among the Top 100 Lawyers in the Philippines for 2018 and 2019 by the Asia Business Law Journal.
