Bagus Nur Buwono

Bagus Nur Buwono is a founding and managing partner of Bagus Enrico & Partners. He has more than 25 years of advisory works, spanning in multinationals and domestic transactions. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, construction, strategic investment, and general corporate or commercial matters, including corporate restructuring, insolvency, and employment, across various sectors of industries throughout Indonesia.

He has also acquired broad and practical corporate, banking and finance experience in various businesses. These include in- house counsel at the Bank Central Asia, senior vice president at Bank Mizuho Indonesia, where he received several management awards for his significant contributions, the country head of legal at Bank Barclays Indonesia, an independent member of the Audit Committee and Risk Monitoring Committee of DBS Bank.

His clients praise him for his business knowledge and legal expertise in recognition of his years of continued excellent work and expertise. He also has some accolades. Bagus graduated from the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia in 1996. Subsequently, he received the Chevening Scholarship to undertake the International Business Law (LLM) from the University of Manchester, the UK in 2005. He also attended a Mini – MBA programme held by Mizuho Corporate Bank in cooperation with Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, in 2009.

He is a member of the Indonesian Bar Association (Peradi) and is also a co-lecturer on company law at Gadjah Mada University’s Faculty of Law. He is also the founder and the chairman of the Advisory Board of the Indonesia Innovative Foundation, a non-profit organisation in Indonesia to develop an online platform “Optimis Academy” and collaborate with universities to provide higher education at affordable prices.
