Introduction
Madhurima Mukherjee has more than 20 years of experience in securities offerings in domestic and international markets including initial public offerings, follow-on public offerings, rights offers, qualified institutional placements, infrastructure investment trusts and block trades.
Often referred to as the “queen of capital markets”, she was part of some of the most high-profile capital-raising efforts in the country, including the Coal India IPO in 2010. Coal India eventually raised INR152 billion (USD1.8 billion), which remains one of India’s largest IPOs so far.
Madhurima has a strong business acumen which orients her approach. She heads the Capital Markets Division at JSA. Before joining JSA, she was a senior partner at AZB & Partners until April 2020. She also worked with Luthra & Luthra as its national head and as a partner until 2013, and erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co as a partner until 2006.
