Kavitha Vijay, senior partner of IC Universal Legal, heads the firm’s Chennai office and has been with the office since its inception, spearheading its growth to the large multidisciplinary team of reputation and ranking that it is today. She has also been instrumental in building and establishing the practice areas, specialisations and work style of the firm.

Known widely for her efficient, solution-based, robust and holistic approach to transactions, she has been highly recognised by law firm ranking agencies in various sectors. Kavitha’s experience covers two decades and is abundantly visible in the manner she handles a diversified client portfolio across diverse sectors, with her distinctive perspective and strong market understanding.

Her focus is on M&A, private equity and joint ventures, corporate and regulatory requirements, real estate, the finance sector and agritech.

She is part of the internal committee established by several leading companies in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and has initiated several activities to further advance corporate social responsibilities.
