Introduction
Daizy Chawla heads the Intellectual Property Practice Group and Corporate and Tax Practice Group. She has more than 18 years of experience in corporate, taxation, and IPR law and specialises in advising clients on legal matters ranging from corporate law to insolvency and taxation. She has a proven track record of successfully dealing with various domestic and cross-border corporate and tax-related issues, including incorporation, corporate restructuring, corporate governance issues, FDI/FEMA, SEBI, ECB, direct and indirect taxation, and more.
Daizy’s expertise spans across diverse industry verticals, such as real estate and infrastructure, hospitals and hospitality, ports, mining, educational institutions, manufacturing, and import and export.
In addition to her professional work, she actively engages in pro bono work for various domestic and international matters, sharing her expertise with society. She is associated with Advocates for International Development (A4ID) and Trust Law, the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s global pro bono legal program.
Daizy is also a regular contributor to the World Bank Survey and has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the World Bank for her contributions to its publications namely:
