Shantanu Gupta

Introduction

Shantanu Gupta is a partner in the corporate & commercial practice group at Khaitan & Co. He is a transactional lawyer, and advises domestic and international clients on private equity, and M&A transactions, with particular experience across energy and infrastructure, real estate and manufacturing. His work covers investment strategy, negotiation and drafting of transaction documentation, and post-closing integration, governance and stakeholder management. Shantanu also provides ongoing corporate advisory support, including on foreign exchange and cross-border regulatory issues.

He routinely acts for financial sponsors and strategic investors on platform investments, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and bespoke commercial arrangements. He is recognised for practical, commercial advice and calm execution on complex, time-sensitive transactions globally.
