Introduction
Rachadawan Kelar (Pui) has dedicated her professional career to protecting, enforcing and expanding on her vast legal experience she has gained over the past two decades. That expertise has helped the business and legal community through the creation of innovative programmes in areas of intellectual property law, as well as all areas of dispute resolution.
As the founder of RWT in 2016, Rachadawan has continued to serve as the managing partner at the firm. Prior to this role, she was instrumental in the creation of creative IP investigation and enforcement divisions for many well-known global brands. These strategies and tactics are rare in IP enforcement markets in Thailand and are still being used in the market.
Over her professional career, Rachadawan has been recognised as both a leader and innovator in both Thailand and throughout the international community, including her role as the official partner in Thailand for React, the world’s leading anti-counterfeiting network, as well as her continued support as a trademark attorney and member of the International Trademark Association, by sharing and assisting others through her contributions in the IP investigation and enforcement field.
Rachadawan has used her vast expertise to provide a strategic approach to IP enforcement, which involves a combination of in-depth research, analysis and collaboration, enabling her to reach a wide variety of clientele. With this flexibility and specific desire to focus on the client-first approach, she has had the opportunity to offer her clients a wide range of customised legal and business services, as well as devise comprehensive strategies that are uniquely designed to fit their needs.
In her role as a managing partner at RWT, Rachadawan continually collaborates with the board of directors and executive leadership to develop strategic
programmes and services for the firm’s ever-expanding portfolio of diverse clientele. As an attorney and business owner, Rachadawan founded RWT in 2016. She has positioned RWT among the first tiers of IP investigation and enforcement firms in Thailand and internationally, which are niche strategies in today’s IP sector.
Rachadawan has ensured that RWT provides unique counsel and insight by focusing on future trends in emerging legal areas such as Personal Data Protection Act compliance, cybersecurity, cross-border asset recovery, M&A and AI integration into business and its impact on IP law.
This keen insight and knowledge have positively impacted RWT and its reputation within the legal community. Rachadawan also has maintained positive relationships with various law enforcement agencies, government ministries and international bodies that provide her with the opportunity to offer impactful and ethical solutions and exceed best practices.
Over the years, Rachadawan has not only blazed a trail in the legal community as both a seasoned attorney but also an award-winning Thai entrepreneur and businesswoman in her role as the managing partner of the firm. As a foundational pillar of RWT, she has continued to be an outstanding role model for young female entrepreneurs through programmes and CSR (corporate social responsibility) initiatives, which are designed to develop the talented young leaders of future generations.
This commitment, with a specific focus on DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) initiatives for young women from diverse backgrounds much like her own, began in 2017. It was a groundbreaking achievement at the time and established Rachadawan as a pioneer in DEI initiatives well before they became mainstream.
Recently, Rachadawan was appointed as a member of the executive committee of the Institute of Advanced Legal Professions at the Lawyers Council of Thailand.
