Introduction
Myung-Ahn Kim, head of the international arbitration and litigation practice at Yoon & Yang, is a US-qualified counsel with extensive experience spanning the Bank of Korea, the California Department of Justice and a UK-based global law firm. Since her admission to the California Bar in 2006, she has represented corporations and governments in major arbitral proceedings under the ICC, SIAC, DIS, LMAA, HKIAC, KCAB, and DIAC rules. In 2025, she has successfully handled the enforcement of a KRW630 billion offshore trade finance dispute before the HKIAC and Hong Kong High Court, an expert determination related to a Pakistani hydropower project, a DIAC arbitration involving a defence technology dispute, an India joint venture dispute, and an ICC arbitration arising from an EPC subcontract in Hungary. Kim serves as an international arbitrator with the KCAB, HKIAC, and LCIA, and is recognised by Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 as a leading individual in the field of international arbitration and litigation.
